What a great first week. Students are getting adjusted to fourth grade beautifully and we have our curriculum ready to start Math on Monday.  I have added a  Weekly Slide 2021-2022  on the   classroom blog . This is if your student is out then they can always see what we are doing to stay caught up! They also are coming home with their books in the binder. Many have a 1 inch binder and the books do not fit in a one inch binder. Please if you are able to get a 2 inch binder so they can be organized. If you cannot they will just be loose in their backpacks.  Friday Folders and Weekly Reports are starting today. This will come home every Friday and need to be returned on Monday. (Tuesday is fine as well as I know weekends and Mondays are a little crazy.) Please take out all papers and just return the folder and yellow sheet that will need your signature! Silent reading 20 minutes Binders. Please purchase a 2 or 3 inch binder for your kiddo as this will house student planner, math book, social studies book, and reading magazine as well as tabs to organize. Students need eventually 4 spiral notebooks. They need to bring one tomorrow Thursday August 12th to set up their reading response journals and another one on Monday August 16th as we will be setting up their Vocabulary Notebooks. 

 Sorry for the late post I left my computer home today. Silent reading 20 minutes Comp Books need to be in class ready to go. If students need one I can give them one. Binders. Please purchase a 2 or 3 inch binder for your kiddo as this will house student planner, math book, social studies book, and reading magazine as well as tabs to organize. Every Monday we will be doing a lesson from Second Step. They will come home with what we worked on from the day and please take a minute or two to ask them what we talked about. Today was in intro to Empathy and a catchy song! One their sheet this week has the lyrics to the song. 

 What a great second day. Please remember kids are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle as I have a water cooler to refill them during the day.  Also next week we will be diving into curriculum so having a binder to organize, a decorated composition book, and a spiral notebook will be needed.   Student Hyperdoc We will be doing a few surveys off of the hyperdoc! 

 What a great first day meeting all of these fantastic fourth graders! They should have come home with their planners today so ask to see their planners! Also if possible kids can bring a water bottle as we do not have a water fountain in class but we do have a water jug to refill during the day.  Tonight Read pages 4 & 5 of the planner as they talk about GOAL setting. We will be setting goals next week for the trimester.  Silent reading 20 minutes Due Monday Decorate the cover of their composition book. I just printed pictures and put glued them on the cover. Some may want to draw a picture. Some may want to print a logo and put it on. I have clear tape that I will be using to help the pictures stay on and makes a cover on their composition book. If you were not able to get a comp book I have plenty and your student should have grabbed one today.
