Sorry for the late post I left my computer home today.

Silent reading 20 minutes

Comp Books need to be in class ready to go. If students need one I can give them one.

Binders. Please purchase a 2 or 3 inch binder for your kiddo as this will house student planner, math book, social studies book, and reading magazine as well as tabs to organize.

Every Monday we will be doing a lesson from Second Step. They will come home with what we worked on from the day and please take a minute or two to ask them what we talked about. Today was in intro to Empathy and a catchy song! One their sheet this week has the lyrics to the song.

Week of December 9th - 13th

This week: Students need to read 5 minutes out loud to practice fluency and voice . Then finish the rest of the 25 minutes silently reading. We are working on area and perimeter. They selected on whether they will be designing a Playground, Kitchen, Classroom, or Bedroom . S tudents will be presenting on Friday as well as learning Google Sheets to make it digital. 1.) They need to find the factors of the area 2.) Eliminate factors that do not work for the perimeter to narrow in and find the length and width. 3.) Then place their square/rectangle on graph paper to design. Students turned in their holiday tradition topic. We will be starting designing slides and researching the origin of the tradition Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have pictures you are welcome to share them with me so I can share them with students to their school accounts. We will write speeches Thursday and Friday so they can practice over the weekend and try and memorize it before our holiday festival...
