I have had some parents ask me for kids schedule if they were in the classroom so I will put together a document today as to what our weekly learning schedule is to help. For now I will post today and by the end of the day I will post a document with a weekly schedule! Of course everything right now is optional I am just trying to help how I can remotely. If you need anything or have any questions I am available by email and will be checking my email throughout the day!

I miss everyone and hope everyone is staying safe!

Today's Distant Learning Schedule (Optional)

8:30-8:45 Recess
8:45-9:25 Independent Time

    • Kids could choose from: Silent Reding, AR Test, Edu Typing, Writing a story of their choice, Buddy writing with friends, Code.org, Math Games, helping around the classroom etc. This is usually a time I would work with a small group.
9:25-10:35 Math If your kids want to work on Think Central Math Work, Student Activity Book, Homework Book, or Iready Math they can. Any pages they have not done from Past units of they can work on or the Remembering pages in Homework books is another option.

10:35-10:45 Recess

10:45-12:45 Reading Daily Five
    • Kids could go on Clever to Benchmark and reread stories from Unit 1. I have also posted questions for them to respond to on Google Classroom.
    • They could work on Iready Reading
    • Independent Reading
    • Responding in their Reading Log, I am checking them daily and responding to kids. Please make sure they turn them in so I know they have a response for me to check out.
    • Write a story
    • Research something they are interested in and take notes
12:45-1:29 Lunch
1:29-2:30 Science
    • Students can go on to Mystery Science and check out a video. I have shared the link for Mystery Science at home and one is just videos and thoughtful questions they can write about or discuss with you or friends, another side of it is experiments. You all decided!
2:30-3:00 Work Wheel
    • I will give kids a topic and they will pick what they want to research and make a presentation on it. They usually have three weeks to put together a presentation.
Just a reminder this is optional and does not have to be done. Some families are reaching out to keep things "normal".
