Week of December 9th - 13th

This week: Students need to read 5 minutes out loud to practice fluency and voice . Then finish the rest of the 25 minutes silently reading.  We are working on area and perimeter. They selected on whether they will be designing a Playground, Kitchen, Classroom, or Bedroom . S tudents will be presenting on Friday as well as learning Google Sheets to make it digital.  1.) They need to find the factors of the area 2.) Eliminate factors that do not work for the perimeter to narrow in and find the length and width. 3.) Then place their square/rectangle on graph paper to design. Students turned in their holiday tradition topic. We will be starting designing slides and researching the origin of the tradition Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have pictures you are welcome to share them with me so I can share them with students to their school accounts.
